Registered Nurse – Same Day Care

Monday-Friday, Benefit Eligible, 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period.

The Same Day Care RN is responsible for providing exceptional patient care during the pre-operative and post-operative phase of care within the surgical center. The RN functions in a variety of roles in the Pre, Post, and Procedural areas; including patient intake, monitoring patients receiving sedation, case load management (as assigned), and working as a team member in all areas of the Center.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Current MN RN license
  • Demonstrates cooperative and dependable work attitude toward and with co-employees, management, patients, visitors and physicians.
  • Working knowledge and comfort with computer use.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
  • ACLS/PALS certification preferred.
  • Previous surgical experience preferred.

 

Purchasing Coordinator

Monday-Friday, Benefit Eligible, 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period.

The Purchasing Coordinator is an allied health professional who works closely with Leadership, Materials staff, surgeons, physician assistants, Sales Representatives, specialty leads, sterile processing technicians, anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other surgical personnel delivering patient care, assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery. This position is responsible for all facility ordering and receiving of equipment and disposable items for the center, generating purchase orders and processing through the A/P process.  Contract review and understanding of the GPO and distribution centers and review closely the cost containment for the center.  Review current and upcoming surgery schedule and special needs worksheets to recognize, coordinate, and assure requested equipment, devices, and materials are ordered, arrives, processed as needed, and available for surgical cases.  Collaborates with care team to ensure surgical cases have all necessary supplies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Surgical Tech, Sterilization Tech, or medical Materials Management/Purchasing Department background preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the Operating Room Department.
  • Demonstrates cooperative work attitude toward and with co-employees, leadership, patients, visitors and physicians.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintains BLS.
  • Working knowledge and comfort with computer use.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
